Charlie is determined to become an Eagle Scout, so he’s simultaneously working on two merit badges. While studying for his Bird Study merit badge, he spends his days observing birds, identifying species, and trying to figure out why they always seemed to be one step ahead of him. Meanwhile, he’s tackling his Reading merit badge by volunteering to read to his seven-year-old sister’s class. By the end of each visit, Charlie had gained a classroom full of fans, several new birdwatching assistants, and a newfound appreciation for how difficult it is to keep a room full of seven-year-olds quiet. He's one step closer to Eagle Scout—and is looking forward to his next badge – First Aid!
